Chapter Meeting Notice

Greetings Sorors,

Welcome back to a new sorority year! I hope this meeting notice finds you all in great health and spirits! I pray that this summer afforded you the opportunity to have fun and relaxation. I am so excited about the 2008-2009 sorority year and I hope that you are as well. Boule was wonderful and I am so pleased that Alpha Eta Sigma won the International Mary Lou Loving Cup Award! I know we were all pleased to win it regionally, but this is the icing on the cake! Thank you for your hard work and willingness to live our chapter theme, Step Up.

With that being said, the bar has been set high for us as we move into the 2008-2009 sorority year. We have a lot on the agenda for our September meeting, so please make every effort to arrive on time. Here is a list of tentative agenda items for the September Meeting – Membership, Peanut Luncheon, Fundraising (Oldies Party), NPHC, Committee Sign-Up, Rejesta V. Perry Birthright (Aids Walk)**, Boule Delegate Report, Undergraduate Advisor Reports, Rhoers, Philos, Budget & Finance, Chapter Calendar, Operation Big Bookbag, and Vacant Executive Board & Committee Chair positions. Committee chairs please bring 30 copies of all reports and please limit your reports to 5 minutes. If anyone else needs to be on the agenda please contact me immediately.

The Membership Committee will be hosting an Open House immediately following the chapter meeting. Blue & Gold business attire is required. Additionally, only fully financial and TORCH certified sorors may attend the Open House. If you know someone who is interested in Membership please have them contact Soror Aubria Nance at Ladyzephyr1922@msn.com. Additionally, Operation Big Book Bag will be collecting school supplies. Please be sure to bring your items to this meeting.

Lastly, we will continue to accept dues payments at this meeting. We will be mailing dues no later than September 19th. After that, you will be subject to late fees, so please bring your unpaid balance to this meeting. We are going to have a great year! Are you excited? I am excited!
